YHN has more success with latest jobs fair!

Your Homes Newcastle (YHN) were joined by a host of organisations for a jobs and training fair on October 11.

Held at St James’ Park, there were more than 30 employers and an additional 30 training providers in attendance.

Among those in attendance were the North East Ambulance Service, Royal Navy, North Tyneside Council, Newcastle University and more.

Training providers in attendance included The Prince’s Trust, Newcastle United Foundation, Citizens Advice and more.

Recruitment managers were on hand to talk to prospective applicants as well as support those needing help with applications or interview preparation.

Eleanor Whitaker, Apprentice and Your Homes Your Jobs Manager, said: “It was great to see so many customers at our event, alongside lots of employers with a wide range of jobs on offer.

“Initial feedback from customers and employers was very positive and there was a real buzz throughout the event.

“It was a great opportunity to match employers up with customers looking for work and we have lots of follow up work to do.”

Phil Hodgson, Employability Officer, said: “It’s been a fantastic day.

“Thanks to all those employers and people who have turned up.

“We are looking forward to the next one.”
