Leazes Homes selects Karbon Homes as preferred partner
In November, Leazes Homes tenants were informed that the Housing Review has an impact on them as their homes aren’t owned by Newcastle City Council, so their Board had to make a decision about the future of their partnership with YHN.
A sub-group of the Leazes Homes Board was set up to scope the sector for potential delivery partners to take over delivering its services.
Your Homes Newcastle has delivered services on behalf of Leazes Homes, as well as for Newcastle City Council, for several years.
Newcastle City Council has taken the decision to close Your Homes Newcastle and will instead deliver the services itself. Since the decision was made, Leazes Board has been looking for a new partner to deliver its services.
After a thorough selection process, we’re pleased to tell you that Karbon Homes has been selected as the preferred partner. Subject to a consultation with all Leazes Homes tenants and all relevant checks, they’re proposing to transfer the management of all of our homes to Karbon Homesin summer 2024.
